Queen Valley Emergency
Drainage Repairs Pinal
County, Arizona
In February 2005,
a winter storm damaged a number of roadway
wash crossings in the Town of Queen Valley
in Pinal County. Dibble designed repairs to
these crossings as part of a contract with
Pinal County for On-Call Engineering Services.
Repairs included the reconstruction of a large
culvert at Queen Creek Wash and a concrete
surface ford at Frazier Wash. Dibble worked
with the Corps of Engineers to obtain all
necessary 404 and 401 permits and to meet
the design and construction requirements of
those permits. The project also required the
relocation of two existing water mains. Due
to the inconvenience posed to the public in
this residential area, a quick response was
required from Pinal County and the Dibble
design team.
