Indian School Road,
Drinkwater Boulevard to Pima Road, Drainage Improvements
Scottsdale, Arizona
Dibble is currently providing drainage design services
to the City of Scottsdale for 2 miles of Indian School
Road between Drinkwater Boulevard and Pima Road. Currently,
the corridor regularly experiences mild flooding due
to pavement drainage and an undersized catch basin and
storm drain system. As part of roadway pavement improvements,
Dibble is updating the existing drainage measures along
the corridor to accommodate runoff from a 10-year design
storm event. The project includes a new hydrologic analysis
of both onsite and offsite urban watersheds in order
to provide a comprehensive drainage solution. Proposed
improvements to the corridor include catch basin upsizing
and relocation, improved pavement grades, and a new
72-inch storm pipe to supplement the existing storm
drain system.
