Technical Specifications for Small Diameter Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation

The City of Phoenix is rehabilitating small diameter sanitary sewers, some of which are 90 to 100 years old, utilizing trenchless construction technologies. Dibble’s National Association of Sanitary Sewer Companies (NASSCO) certified Engineers developed the Technical Specifications for the project current industry standards. The specifications directed the use of Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) utilizing both the Inversion method along with Integral Lining System rehabilitation techniques.

 


2004 Small Diameter Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation - Phase I

The City of Phoenix is rehabilitating small diameter sanitary sewers (8-inch through 14-inch diameter) utilizing trenchless construction technologies utilizing technical specifications developed by Dibble. The rehabilitation method performed by the contractor was Cured-In-Place Pipe installed utilizing the inversion method for lining installation. Our National Association of Sanitary Sewer Companies (NASSCO) certified engineers provided construction management along with Quality Assurance/Quality Control monitoring during liner installation. The 2004 construction budget to rehabilitate approximately 70,000 linear feet of 8- inch through 14-inch diameter sanitary sewers, was $3 million.
