Sonoran Boulevard,
15th Avenue to 10th Street, and Dove Valley
Road, 23rd Avenue to 19th Avenue
Phoenix,
Arizona
This CM@R project
included civil design services for paving,
drainage structures, and landscaping for Sonoran
Boulevard between 15th Avenue and 10th Street
(West Segment). The West Segment is one of
three adjacent projects that provide an important
east-west connection through north Phoenix
and the Sonoran Preserve from 15th Avenue
to Cave Creek Road (approximately 6.5 miles).
The three projects were designed concurrently
by three separate design teams, who coordinated
closely to ensure consistent design and construction
documents throughout the scenic corridor.
The West Segment is approximately 2.1 miles
and includes a 150-foot right-of-way, 64-foot
roadway width, several drainage crossings,
waterline relocation landscaping, and street
lighting. Extensive coordination was required
with the Arizona State Land Department, Salt
River Project, property owners to the south,
and the City Parks Department.
