Hidden Hills Trailhead Parking
Lots
Scottsdale, Arizona
Dibble designed two trailhead parking lots in the Hidden
Hills area of northeast Scottsdale along Via Linda at
approximately the 144th Street alignment. This project
is adjacent to the McDowell Sonoran Preserve and allows
access to the trail system inside the Preserve. The
south lot accommodates parking for 14 cars and 4 pull-through
horse trailers. The north lot accommodates parking for
20 vehicles. The design included site drainage, equestrian
trails, trail connections, lighting, landscape, a ramada,
and site amenities. Dibble took into consideration the
purpose of the Preserve, which is to maintain the environmental
character of the land, protect scenic views, to preserve
habitat for wildlife, and to provide opportunities for
appropriate public access, and incorporated these objectives
into the projects, and incorporated these objectives
into the projects.
