US 60 Higley Road Traffic
Interchange

Dibble provided transportation design services to widen
Higley Road to 10 lanes over US 60, and to add 24 feet
on each side of the bridge with pre-cast box beams.
Traffic maintenance was a key concern, as construction
was on going for a major widening of US 60, the Banner
Gateway hospital campus, and widening of Higley Road
matching in south of the project. To meet schedule demands
of the hospital opening, this TI widening design was
completed in 4 months. Coordination with the US 60 designer,
Banner Health, and the Town of Gilbert was crucial and
constant. This project also included coordination with
the Roosevelt Water Conservation District and other
utility relocations.
