The Vertex Apartments were developed to be the premier student housing community near Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. The 3.5-acre site was densely developed to include two six-story buildings, three five-story buildings, and a seven-level parking structure to accommodate 218 units with 600 beds.

The project included combining multiple parcels and abandoning onsite public utilities and their associated easements. With this abandonment of public utilities, Dibble designed a new 15-inch sewer through the site. The new sewer easement was strategically located to align with the required fire lanes and building layout.
The complex was designed to provide security while still being inviting to the adjacent neighborhood and pedestrian traffic. The first floor of multiple buildings was designed as commercial tenant spaces to serve both the residents and the surrounding neighborhood.
