Student Residence Hall and Student Union at Ottawa University
Dibble provided civil engineering and construction administration services for a new student residence hall, student union building, parking lot, and utility infrastructure for Ottawa University at the Surprise campus.
The student residence hall is a 76,000-sf, four-story, 83-room building with 332 beds. This dormitory was the first of the on-site housing buildings planned for the campus. The building features fully furnished four-person suites, four student lounges, and the campus security office. The residence hall is located to the east of Spirit Field on four acres adjacent to the community green space Ottawa University shares with Surprise City Hall.

The student union is a two-story, 27,000-sf building that houses a cafeteria with indoor and outdoor dining space, the spirit fan shop, a campus mailroom, a student lounge with an indoor/outdoor fireplace, a conference center, and designated quiet study spaces.
Dibble provided civil design, including grading and drainage; new water, fire, and sanitary sewer services; a parking analysis; and a traffic impact analysis.
