Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner Facility Earns National Design Recognition

Designed by SmithGroup in collaboration with PMM | Poster Mirto McDonald, the facility was recognized for its exceptional design, sustainability, resilience, and meaningful contribution to public service. The award highlights the project’s success in creating a modern facility that supports critical forensic operations while serving the needs of Pima County and communities throughout Southern Arizona.
The new Office of the Medical Examiner expands the county’s ability to provide essential forensic services in a professional, efficient, and compassionate environment.
