Carmen Rose is a Featured SWAAAE Member

Carmen Rose, PE, is a Senior Aviation Project Manager at Dibble and is currently listed as the featured member on the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives’ (SWAAAE’s) website!

SWAAAE is an organization for airport management professionals in Arizona, California, and Nevada. They promote diversity and integrity in the aviation space and encourage members to connect through annual conferences, professional development, and mentorship.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, Carmen joined SWAAAE in 2016 because she wanted to grow her professional network beyond Arizona. She has served on the SWAAAE strategic planning committee since 2020, working to identify opportunities for the organization to grow and evolve with the ever-changing aviation environment so the organization can be nimble in the future. She greatly enjoys working alongside other members in the industry.

Carmen graduated with a BSE in Civil Engineering and an MSE in Transportation Engineering, both from Arizona State University. She began working in the aviation industry during college, when she worked on APMS construction drawings for Arizona airports. Carmen has been with Dibble since 2019 and currently leads a team of six aviation professionals.

As a person of color and as a woman engineer in the aviation space, Carmen is a positive influence in the airport development community. Through her leadership at Dibble and involvement with SWAAAE, she mentors younger engineers, just like many wonderful colleagues have invested in her professional development during her 17-year career.

Carmen says, “SWAAAE is a family of airport professionals who truly care about each other and how they contribute to the safe operation and development of airports within the region. Spending time with and working with everyone over the years has been a blessing.”
