We recently joined our partners and the community in celebrating the ribbon cutting of the Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) Terminal Expansion – Phase 1B1 Baggage Claim. This exciting milestone represents a significant step in improving the passenger experience at DRO.

The expansion delivers more space, upgraded amenities, and a welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of the region. One of the highlights of this project is the integration of public art by local artists, whose creativity has brought color, culture, and a true sense of place to the airport. Travelers arriving in Durango are now greeted with a vibrant first impression that celebrates the area’s unique character.

This achievement would not have been possible without the vision and collaboration of Durango-La Plata County Airport, Mead & Hunt, and the talented Nunn Construction team. Together, we transformed an idea into reality, creating a space that will serve the community and its visitors for years to come.
