Dibble Announces Promotion of Jason Simmers, PE to Transportation Team Leader

Dibble is proud to announce the promotion of Jason Simmers, PE to Transportation Team Leader for the Arizona Roadway Design Team. This promotion recognizes Jason’s exceptional leadership, deep technical expertise, and long-standing dedication to advancing high-quality roadway design projects throughout Arizona.

With 25 years of experience as a project manager and roadway design engineer, Jason has built a career focused on delivering municipal infrastructure that serves communities safely, efficiently, and thoughtfully. His extensive portfolio includes projects such as Smucker Park in Yuma County, Frontier Family Park for the Town of Queen Creek, street lighting improvements for Country Club Road and Nogales Highway in the City of Tucson, Jackrabbit Trail (Thomas Road to Indian School Road) for the City of Buckeye, and the realignment of Cactus Road at Perryville Road in support of the City of Surprise’s Rescue Oasis Fire Station 309 and Community Pool campus.

Jason’s promotion reflects both his proven technical skill and his ability to guide complex infrastructure projects with clarity, precision, and collaboration. He is known for delivering roadway solutions that balance performance, constructability, and long-term value while maintaining a strong focus on community needs.

In his new role, Jason will lead transportation project teams across Arizona, oversee project schedules and budgets, and provide technical oversight across all disciplines. He will also continue serving as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, strong coordination, and a collaborative approach with agencies, stakeholders, and the public.

“Jason’s depth of transportation experience and his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams make him the ideal choice for this role,” said Tim Wolfe, PE, Transportation Business Unit Leader. “He brings a quiet demeanor and thoughtful communication style, while remaining performance-driven on every project. I have full confidence in his ability to guide this team and deliver designs that meet and exceed client expectations for quality, efficiency, and long-term value.”

Jason’s strengths—including organizational discipline, active communication, and a refined understanding of how to efficiently move projects through the design process—position him well for this leadership role. His technical background in geometric design, complete streets, and multimodal improvements, paired with a performance-based design philosophy, has consistently resulted in successful outcomes aligned with both client goals and community priorities.

Please join us in congratulating Jason on this well-deserved promotion and in celebrating his continued leadership within Dibble’s Transportation team.
