Seth Chalmers, PE, Dibble’s Director of Traffic Engineering, gave an insightful presentation on “Guardrail and Guardrail End Treatment (GET) Issues and ‘Frankensteined’ Guardrail” on Thursday, September 26. Guardrails and GETs play a vital role in roadway safety; proper installation, maintenance, and regular assessments are key. Seth explored everything from the fundamentals of GETs to the need for upgrades to current standards and how to spot problematic “frankensteined” guardrails. This session provided great insights for those involved in infrastructure safety!
