Dibble attended the 2024 ASCE/ASHE Annual State Conference on October 24, 2024 at the Desert Willow Center in Phoenix, AZ. This year’s theme, “Engineering a Resilient Arizona,” aligns with our commitment to sustainable infrastructure. We enjoyed exploring innovative solutions for building a more robust and adaptable state. Seth Chalmers, Alaric Fradenburg, and Jason Simmers attended the conference.

Dibble’s Director of Traffic Engineering, Seth Chalmers, PE, gave an impactful presentation on “Guardrail and Guardrail End Treatment (GET) Issues and ‘Frankensteined’ Guardrail” on Thursday, October 24. Guardrails and GETs are crucial for roadway safety, but they must be correctly installed, maintained, and periodically assessed. Seth covered a range of topics from the basics of GET to the importance of upgrading to current standards and identifying problematic “Frankensteined” guardrails.
