Dibble attended the 2024 AWWA Water Infrastructure Conference from September 8-11, 2024, held at the Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix, AZ!

Jake Nelson, PE, Utilities Senior Project Manager, presented at the conference along with co-speaker Shane O’Brien from Garney. Jake and Shane presented on “Building Sustainable Water Supply in the Sonoran Desert” on Monday, September 9. Their presentation discussed the City of Mesa’s 10.5-mile Central Mesa Reuse Pipeline (CMRP) project, which delivers reclaimed water to the Gila River Indian Community in exchange for Colorado River water. This vital infrastructure will enhance Mesa’s water portfolio and reduce future inspection costs.

At the AWWA conference, we enjoyed connecting with colleagues and hearing about the latest strategies to tackle water infrastructure challenges. It was impactful to connect on cost-effective solutions for managing aging infrastructure, controlling water loss, protecting critical assets, and financing capital projects to shape a sustainable future together.
