Durango-La Plata County Airport Terminal Expansion
The first phase of the terminal expansion project at Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) is well underway!
As the airport continues to grow in accommodating larger planes, passenger traffic has doubled in the last 20 years. The terminal expansion and renovation project will bring much-needed amenities and space to accommodate the steadily growing number of passengers at DRO.
Construction on the $36 million project is taking place while the airport remains fully operational. Completion is expected in summer 2026. Nunn Construction is the general contractor and is progressing smoothly through construction. Featured photos are courtesy of our partner, Nunn Construction.
Dibble’s role has included overall project management, schematic design, civil engineering, and survey and now also includes construction administration. We are thrilled about continuing our partnership with DRO on this impactful project!
