Dibble expanding Traffic Engineering capabilities with Seth Chalmers, PE

Chalmers joins Dibble Engineering, expanding Dibble’s traffic engineering capabilities, while enhancing top quality team.

Phoenix, Arizona – Dibble Engineering, a leading regional provider of high-quality multidisciplinary services for the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry, announces the addition of Seth Chalmers, PE, to the firm as the director of traffic engineering. Chalmers will be responsible for enhancing and expanding Dibble’s talented Transportation Practice. Seth brings with him 36 years of experience in successful innovation, leadership, and management of traffic and transportation engineering.

Chalmers comes to Dibble from the Pima County Department of Transportation where he served as Manager of the Traffic Engineering Division. Seth successfully operated his own civil engineering firm for nearly 20 years, accomplishing a variety of projects including research, planning, studies, designs, standards, specifications, technical training, product testing and expert witness tasks. He also spent several years working as both a traffic engineer and project manager for a number of other consulting firms and was employed by ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation) in their Urban Highways Group.

Chalmers is professionally active, serving on the ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) National Pavement Marking Committee and has been on ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) D04 Committee for more than 15 years. He is also a long-term member of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) and ITE (Institute of Transportation Engineers).

"Seth brings technical excellence, training capabilities, client knowledge, a great attitude and a track record of highly successful project completions, particularly in traffic engineering. I’m confident he will help make Dibble a better company," says Greg Haggerty, CEO, Dibble Engineering.

"My philosophy is always to ask "Why?" and "What if?" I believe if engineers do a good job of answering these questions this will lead to better information, more successful decisions and better results. Over the years, I have seen how Dibble Engineering aligns with my philosophy. I first worked with Dibble in 1983 on the I-10 Completion project team for ADOT, where I had the pleasure to work with Dibble’s founder, Ben Dibble. Since then I have seen great work come from Dibble Engineering. When the opportunity to join the Dibble team came along, I jumped at it," says Seth Chalmers, PE, Director of Traffic Engineering, Dibble Engineering.
