91st Avenue, Butler Drive to Mountain View Road
A fast-track project completed just in time for the Super Bowl XLIX.
Dibble designed one mile of scalloped street widening adjacent to undeveloped land in Peoria, AZ. We designed a major 60-inch-diameter storm drain system and coordinated with the District and City of Peoria. Extensive utility coordination was required to tile a Salt River Project (SRP) irrigation ditch and relocate both Arizona Public Service (APS) and SRP 69kV/12kV poles. Dibble received recognition from the City for meeting an aggressive schedule, particularly with respect to the utility coordination efforts.
Many utilities, including significant underground SRP irrigation and electric, required detailed facility mapping and knowledge of the design constraints to provide a storm drain network that was constructible within the limited space and met the design flow requirements. Because the storm drain receives runoff from a significant off-site watershed, our team designed unique catch basins to capture runoff within side streets before reaching 91st Avenue.
Dibble successfully designed this fast-track project to meet the schedule for the Super Bowl XLIX.
