Gordon Commons is Arizona State University’s premier residential community, located in the heart of downtown Phoenix at the northeast corner of 1st and Taylor Streets. The two towers rise 12 stories above the common first floor that includes 10,000 sf of retail space and together house approximately 1,250 students.

Each floor has a laundry facility, small meeting rooms, a vending area, an atrium lounge, and screened porch areas. The 4,000-sf shade garden is overlooked by a private roof terrace for students. This public garden includes seating and a water feature and is linked with the Taylor Street landscape and pedestrian plan.
As part of the Construction Manager at Risk team, Dibble provided survey, civil design, and limited construction administration for the 2.4-acre site. We also designed half-street roadway improvements and a 12-inch public waterline within Taylor Street.
