Dibble developed construction documents in coordination with the Town of Gilbert for a parking garage and associated off-site improvements within the Gilbert Heritage District. Dibble’s scope of work included civil design and construction documents for civil site work associated with the parking garage; design and final plans for the off-site improvements including the street adjacent to the parking garage, Hearne Plaza, the Gilbert median and crosswalk; Gilbert and Vaughn intersection improvements; water main extension; sewer main relocation and utility coordination for the off-site improvements.
The desired outcome of this project was to protect, preserve, and enhance the pedestrian experience. Dibble provided survey, civil engineering and limited construction administration in the completion of intersection improvements at Gilbert Road and Vaughn Avenue in Gilbert, Arizona. Located in the heart of the Heritage District, the project provided improved capacity and circulation in conjunction with the new parking garage. Individual scope elements included: traffic and circulation analysis, new traffic signal, ADA analysis, improvements in a tight corridor, and pavement reconstruction.
