University of Arizona: Applied Research Building
Dibble provided survey and civil design services for the new three-story, 89,000-sf Applied Research Building on the University of Arizona campus. This unique building promotes the University’s initiative to prepare the campus for multidisciplinary advances in science, engineering, and technology. This building was constructed on and replaced an existing parking lot. Our design included site improvements, grading and drainage, new utility service lines, and underground water retention/water harvesting. We also designed improvements to the Highland pedestrian underpass to provide safer pedestrian and bicycle crossings at Helen Street and connectivity to the north.
