Finn Wolfe – Mesa Utilities Assistant Engineer and Soccer Fan

Do you have a hobby? Tell us about it.
I watch Arsenal, a soccer team in the English Premier League. They’re my favorite team, and I identify strongly with them.

What is your chosen discipline (engineering, planning, surveying, etc)? Why do you love it?
Water + Wastewater. In college, I started learning about issues regarding water and found it fascinating.

What’s your superpower?
My memory. It works in strange ways but lots of the time I can remember something very obscure and specific by just hearing about it once.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
The island of Delos, in Greece. In Greek Mythology, it is where Apollo and Artemis were born.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Languages. Being able to travel the world and instantly understand the native language would be incredible.

If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?
A Cacophony of Events. It is the best way I can sum up my life in a sentence.

What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
I am learning the ethics and practices of an engineer. It is important because the uncorruptible nature of engineering has been a bright spot throughout history.
