Jenny Watts

Senior Aviation Planner and Mindfulness Practitioner

What is your chosen discipline? Why do you love it?
Within Dibble’s Airport Business Practice, I am an aviation planner. I provide our airport clients with planning related information and documents, such as airport master plans and environmental clearance reports. I love being an aviation planner because it combines my love of airports and aviation in general along with my love of writing.

What’s your superpower?
I’m not so sure this would be considered a superpower – perhaps more of a random skill. I have the ability to remember people’s birthdays. And not just my immediate family or close friends, but almost anybody whom I ever spent any amount of time getting to know. I’m not sure if this skill is particularly useful, although I do believe it makes people feel appreciated when I wish them happy birthday because I remembered it.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
The violin. I always wanted to learn how to play the violin when I was younger, but never did. Now I don’t have the time, or likely the patience, to do so. Thus, instantaneously becoming a violin maestro would be very convenient.

What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
Right now, I’m dabbling in practicing mindfulness. My current life is a bit hectic, and I’ve realized that I need to find new ways to combat stress. Mindfulness is not something I have considered in the past but am open to trying it now. Mastering this would be beneficial to my overall well-being and mood, both at home and at work
