Tell us about your hobby.
I enjoy hiking because is provides an escape for me. I enjoy golf because it represents the endless pursuit of improvement. I enjoy playing guitar because it is the physical manifestation of mathematical relationships. All of these are good for my soul.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
Luthiery- the building of stringed instruments. I have enjoyed playing guitar since I was a kid and have always viewed guitars to be works of art. I would love to be able to create not only music, but also the instruments used to make the music.

What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
How to continue the role of parent to grown children. As kids morph into adults physically, it is easy to want to “check the box” of having raised them. In reality, they need help, advice, and examples more than ever. Navigating the relationship between friend and parent has proven to be challenging, fulfilling, and rewarding.
