Assistant Engineer and Collector of Hobbies

Do you have a hobby? Tell us about it.

I like to collect hobbies like infinity stones. Since I was little, I’ve always loved reading fantasy book series and comic books. My favorite series of all time is the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. I also love watching movies, going to the theaters with friends, and following rising actors and directors. Unsurprisingly, I’m very biased towards superhero movies. I’m really big into sports, whether it’s playing volleyball on the weekends or rooting for BYU, the Clippers, or the Rams as they play throughout the week. Puka Nacua played for BYU and now plays for the Rams, and he’s my favorite athlete to watch. I love doing graphic design, and you’ll often find me expressing my other hobbies through making wallpapers or other designs on Illustrator.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I would love to experience the Pacific Island countries like Tonga, Samoa, and New Zealand. I lived in the Pacific for two years with fellow missionaries from across the Pacific, so I’d love to visit their countries and experience the various cultures. Also, spending time on tropical beaches wouldn’t hurt.

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?

I would love to be instantly fluent in another language. I love meeting different types of people, and they always appreciate it so much when you communicate with them in their native language.

If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?

Coming soon to Barnes and Noble: “Maybe the Real Treasure is the Friends We Made Along the Way.” I’ve been so fortunate with the friends I’ve made growing up, on my mission, in college, and now at Dibble. Their examples, their kindness, and their goofiness has shaped who I am so much, and I’m grateful for them all.
