Do you have a hobby? Tell us about it.
My favorite hobby is playing golf, although it should be more appropriately categorized as a personal torture. Nothing like hitting a great drive only to be followed by an embarrassing chunk shot that rolls 7 feet. Always focus on the positive (the first shot)!

What’s your superpower?
Assuming a superpower is something that can be used for both good and evil, then I would have to pick sarcasm. If that isn’t a “real” superpower, then I will go with “Dad Jokes”. Unfortunately, the only reactions I get from my superpower are eye rolls and responses such as “Seriously Dad?”

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it by and why?
I had the great fortune as a kid to travel all over the world with my family. I think my parents just threw a dart at a map to pick our next adventure. Having visited all 50 states and 6 of the 7 continents, I guess the only thing left is to hang out with penguins in Antarctica.

If you could write a book about your life, what would be the title and why?
The Balch Story – It’s Pretty Predictable. Am I capable of being spontaneous? Yes, as long as it is scheduled well in advance in Outlook. I am all about efficiency, structure and routine. With a little self-reflection, I think that translates to a pretty boring biography.
