Dibble provided survey and civil engineering services for this Design-Build project for APS. Red Rock Solar is a 40MW solar power generation facility, located on approximately 400 acres south of Red Rock, on the east side of Interstate 10. The project site has two major washes running through it, requiring extensive drainage analysis and design. Dibble’s scope of work included assistance with the Special Use Permit, site layout, site grading and drainage, permitting through Pinal County and construction administration.

A project of this size typically is a 24 months; however for Red Rock solar was completed on an accelerated schedule at 15 months. At 40MW, this is the largest APS plant in their portfolio.

This project received a 2017 Award of Merit from ENR Southwest in the Energy/Industrial category.
