City of Goodyear: Operations Facility

The Goodyear Operations Center was master planned to occupy a
96-acre site located adjacent to the Goodyear 157th Avenue Water
Reclamation Facility, just south of MC85 and west of Estrella Parkway. At full build out, the site is planned to include the public safety administration headquarters, police impound yard, emergency operations center, municipal / public safety training center, public works field operations, parks and recreation, 911 police dispatch center, and neighborhood fire station. In addition, the master plan includes community parks, which will be the location of the City’s historic train depot. The master plan for the entire Goodyear Operations Center was produced to prioritize the city functions that will be located on the site at full build out. The development of the master plan helped ensure that the City of Goodyear will maximize the use of the property with the most compatible uses and efficient lay out.

Dibble provided site design services for the new City of Goodyear Police Operations Building at the City Venida complex. The site is located adjacent to the Dibble-designed 911 facility and was able to share many of the site improvements, providing a savings to the project. The site is designed to allow for future building expansion, utility alignments and grading design accounted for this expansion. Half street roadway improvements were designed within the adjacent 145th Avenue including the extension of approximately 500 linear feet of public water and sewer mains.
